03/20/2020 Recycling & Cardboard Services--At this time, the Town of Floyd will not be collecting business recycling and cardboard or curbside recycling from residents. This will allow the highest protection for our Public Works staff so they will not be handling and sorting recycling materials. We ask that you continue to break down your cardboard and stack as much as you can into another container to help conserve your space. We will continue to collect all garbage on Tuesday and Fridays weekly.

Floyd County is closely monitoring events surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The situation is changing rapidly and we will continue to monitor the information as it is released.
Please do not call 911 for information regarding the Coronavirus.
Call the Health Department Hotline for COVID-19 at 540-267-8240, if you have developed a fever and/or symptoms of a respiratory illness (e.g. cough, difficulty breathing) and or traveled outside of the US within the last 14 days or to one of the areas of widespread transmission of COVID-19 (West Coast: Washington and California or New York) please contact the hotline to determine if testing for COVID-19 is needed.
